La estrategia china en los mercados internacionales, inversiones en proyectos en África y sus logros son algunos de los aspectos comentados en este interesante artículo.
El desarrollo económico del gigante asiático está permitiendo proliferar una clase media importante, que demanda cada vez más recursos (comida, madera, petróleo, minerales…). Esta clase media es una clase cada vez más consumidora. Esto hace que China se esté convirtiendo en el principal demandante de recursos del mundo.
China no es autosuficiente en materias primas, así que las tiene que importar desde el exterior. Uno de los principales beneficiados de estas demandas chinas es África. El continente que fue explotado y expoliado en el S.XIX por las potencias coloniales, vive hoy en día, en el S.XXI, una nueva forma de colonialismo.

Es la conocida "Revolución de los paraguas". China, temerosa de la imagen, ha ordenado que no se emplee la violencia. La primavera asiática comenzó el 22 de septiembre con una movilización en demanda de la retirada de la reforma electoral del Congreso Nacional del Pueblo que solo permite votar por tres candidatos. Las imágenes ponen en duda la estabilidad del mercado chino.

En un mundo globalizado, liberalizado y dependiente del flujo del capital, poseer dinero y capacidad de moverlo es un factor estratégico. Las potencias se diferencian del resto de Estados precisamente en eso: tienen dinero y capacidad de moverlo. Una de las características de los actores que dominan el orden mundial es que tienen la posibilidad de prestar dinero.
