Un videojuego de apoyo a los manifestantes prodemocracia de Hong Kong, llamado "Yellow Umbrella", causa furor en la red a pesar de su grafismo rústico y su escasa funcionalidad.
Su éxito es incontestable, con más de 40.000 descargas en la tienda de Google Play desde que fue colgado el 20 de octubre.
En este videojuego los manifestantes equipados de gafas y de mascarillas se enfrentan a los policías, que se abalanzan sobre ellos agitando porras y vaporizadores de gas pimienta.
Los manifestantes pueden elegir las armas con las que van a defenderse: paraguas, tartas de crema o durión (una fruta asiática apestosa).
Pero cuando una barrera de policías antidisturbios amenaza con embestir a los manifestantes, el dios de la guerra Guan Yu les ayuda.
"Los manifestantes quieren a Guan Yu porque no saben qué hacer para salir de apuros sin recurrir a la violencia. Bastaba con apelar a un Dios", explica a la AFP el creador del videojuego, Fung Kam-keung.
El líder estudiantil Joshua Wong es perfectamente reconocible por sus rasgos y sus gafas, mientras que el jefe del ejecutivo hongkonés Leung Chun-ying, odiado por los manifestantes, aparece retratado con las orejas y el rabo de un perro.
Más allá de la parodia Fung Kam-keung explica que quería "expresar su apoyo a los estudiantes" que se manifiestan "pacíficamente para pedir verdaderas elecciones".
El juego goza de buenas críticas en internet, pero es difícil saber si los usuarios lo aprecian por sus cualidades o debido a su simpatía por "el movimiento de los paraguas".
"Yellow Umbrella" no está disponible en China, donde rige una férrea censura.
El movimiento prodemocrático de Hong Kong reclama la instauración del sufragio universal pleno para elegir al próximo jefe del ejecutivo local en 2017 sin que Pekín ponga cortapisas a las candidaturas.
Los manifestantes ocupan desde el 28 de septiembre varios lugares del centro de esta ciudad.

Esta sorprendente película, diseñada para ver en un teléfono móvil, ayuda al espectador a experimentar con inmediatez la confusión y el miedo que enfrentan los refugiados que hacen un peligroso viaje en barco. Tu teléfono ahora es el teléfono de refugiado. Los mensajes de texto llegan de su familia. De repente alguien te contacta en WhatsApp advirtiéndole que regreses. ¿Pero tienen razón? La película se basa en una investigación realizada por BBC Media Action, en asociación con DAHLIA, para ayudar a las agencias humanitarias a ser conscientes de los problemas de comunicación de los refugiados en tránsito.
