Poco después, se le asigna el mismo caso que investigaba en 2009. Así, cree que se le ha concedido una segunda oportunidad para salvar a su novia. En su lucha con la situación a la que se enfrenta, conocerá a Ana (Manuela Velasco), una joven que se convierte en la única persona en la que podrá confiar y a la que a su vez ayudará a plantar cara al machismo que impera.
