La perspectiva de la \\\"Historia desde abajo\\\" nos permite examinarde manera original un periodo apasionante de la historia de aquel país, ya que comprende el final de la experiencia reformistademocratacristiana, los mil días de gobierno de la unidad popular y el comienzo de la brutal dictadura del general Pinochet. Apesar de la amplísima bibliografía existente sobre este periodo, son muy pocas las investigaciones que asumen la perspectiva deanálisis de la \\\"Historia desde abajo\\\" o que emplean las herramientas de la historia oral y los testimonios. Ninguna de las muchasque conocemos se apoya en la correspondencia de uno de los protagonistas de los hechos examinados. Nuestros objetivos son,por una parte, rescatar del olvido del trabajo que Antonio Llidó realizó en Chile y, a través del relato y análisis de sus experienciasde lucha y de vida, intervenir en la apasionante \\\"Batalla de la Historia\\\" que se libra hoy en Chile, así como reivindicar los ideales del socialismo democrático y revolucionario por los que Llidó se quedó a luchar en Chile en la clandestinidad y por los que fuedetenido por la dictadura, torturado y hecho desaparecer.
