Mientras, se han suscrito numerosos acuerdos comerciales entre pa&iacute;ses que conforman regiones econ&oacute;micas, como Pac&iacute;fico, Am&eacute;rica del Norte o Am&eacute;rica del Sur, dejando al margen los intereses europeos (por cierto, en coherencia con el reciente informe del C&iacute;rculo de Empresarios que documenta el cambio del n&uacute;cleo central de la econom&iacute;a de Occidente hacia Asia-Pac&iacute;fico). La pol&iacute;tica comercial de la UE no puede seguir impasible ante una nueva situaci&oacute;n que puede dejarla fuera del coraz&oacute;n de los grandes flujos econ&oacute;micos internacionales. Hay que tener muy en cuenta que seguir igual, sin acuerdo, no es una decisi&oacute;n neutra. No hacer nada es lo que puede permitir que se comercialice en Estados Unidos, por ejemplo, como jerez un vino de California.</p>\r\n<a name=\"sumario_1\"></a>\r\n<div class=\"sumario__interior\">\r\n<div class=\"sumario-texto\">\r\n<p class=\"texto_grande\">La pol&iacute;tica comercial de la UE no puede seguir impasible y quedarse fuera de los flujos internacionales</p>\r\n</div>\r\n</div>\r\n<p>Claro que se puede vivir sin TTIP. Hasta ahora lo hemos hecho. La cuesti&oacute;n es si se pueden mejorar en el futuro las condiciones para que las empresas europeas, especialmente peque&ntilde;as y medianas, exporten a Estados Unidos con m&aacute;s facilidad y menos costes generando nuevas oportunidades y empleo. Conviene recordar que las grandes corporaciones ya est&aacute;n presentes a los dos lados del Atl&aacute;ntico a trav&eacute;s de mecanismos que est&aacute;n fuera del alcance de las de menor tama&ntilde;o.</p>\r\n<p>Otra cuesti&oacute;n que ha quedado clara tiene que ver con la transparencia, que ya es norma tambi&eacute;n para las relaciones internacionales. La existencia de una mayor demanda de informaci&oacute;n y una innegable desconfianza hacia las instituciones hacen necesario un esfuerzo informativo y pedag&oacute;gico acerca del objetivo y del contenido de todas las negociaciones internacionales. El secretismo induce a la sospecha y a una presunci&oacute;n de culpabilidad que puede dar al traste con proyectos por muy convenientes y bienintencionados que puedan ser.</p>\r\n<p>El error pol&iacute;tico de la Comisi&oacute;n Barroso al despreciar las demandas de claridad sobre las conversaciones se ha transformado en una pesada losa. De poco ha servido la acertada decisi&oacute;n adoptada hace a&ntilde;o y medio por el actual Parlamento Europeo y la Comisi&oacute;n Juncker de hacer p&uacute;blica toda la informaci&oacute;n relativa a las posiciones europeas en las negociaciones. El tard&iacute;o ejercicio de transparencia no ha calado en una parte de la opini&oacute;n p&uacute;blica que sigue denunciando interesadamente un secretismo que desde hace tiempo ya no es cierto.
