Sus parientes son progubernamentales. Sin embargo, los otros dos candidatos est&aacute;n con la oposici&oacute;n que pide reformas constitucionales. Esto, que podr&iacute;a sonar progresista, resulta contradictorio en el caso de Al Daqbasi, quien se opuso a que se extendiera el derecho de voto a las mujeres.</p>\r\n<p>Cada elector puede marcar hasta cuatro casillas de la lista de su circunscripci&oacute;n, y en cada uno de los cinco distritos electorales del emirato se eligen 10 diputados. Se han presentado 287 candidatos. 23 son mujeres.</p>\r\n<p>Jahra, 32 kil&oacute;metros al noroeste de Ciudad Kuwait, es el contrapeso tribal y tradicionalista al estilo cosmopolita y occidentalizado que se respira en el Marina Crescent de la capital. En la escuela Said Hashem (&uacute;nico colegio para mujeres en Jahra), la mayor&iacute;a de votantes, vocales de mesa e interventoras se cubren con el&nbsp;<em>niqab,</em>&nbsp;el velo que tapa la cara salvo los ojos.
