Varias asociaciones de la sociedad civil convocaron manifestaciones el 13 de agosto, aniversario de la promulgaci&oacute;n del estatuto personal por el presidente Habib Bourguiba, para expresar su rechazo.</p>\r\n<p>Sin parang&oacute;n en el mundo &aacute;rabe, el&nbsp;<a href=\"http://blog-tunez.com/historia-de-tunez/derecho-en-tunez\">estatuto o c&oacute;digo personal</a>&nbsp;equipara, desde hace 56 a&ntilde;os, a las mujeres tunecinas con los hombres y proh&iacute;be adem&aacute;s la poligamia &mdash;autorizada en el islam&mdash; y el repudio de la esposa, al tiempo que instaura el matrimonio y el divorcio civil. Por algo T&uacute;nez fue el primer pa&iacute;s &aacute;rabe en el que hubo una mujer ministro (1983) y tambi&eacute;n piloto (1980).</p>\r\n<p>La movilizaci&oacute;n surti&oacute; efecto. Ennahda dio marcha atr&aacute;s. La nueva redacci&oacute;n del art&iacute;culo 28, aprobada por consenso esta semana en la Comisi&oacute;n de Coordinaci&oacute;n, estipula no solo la igualdad entre sexos, sino que recalca la &ldquo;igualdad de oportunidades en funci&oacute;n de la competencia&rdquo;. Se&ntilde;ala, por &uacute;ltimo, que la violencia contra la mujer debe ser penalizada. Se da por descontando que el pleno de la asamblea ratificar&aacute; este enunciado.</p>\r\n<p>&ldquo;Es un paso adelante, pero lo sucedido demuestra que debemos mantener la vigilancia para impedir cualquier retroceso&rdquo;, coment&oacute; Emna Menif, de la asociaci&oacute;n feminista Kolna Tounes. La m&aacute;s c&eacute;lebre de las feministas tunecinas, Lina Ben Mehni, considera, sin embargo, que las mujeres van a peor en T&uacute;nez. &ldquo;Antes reclamaban m&aacute;s derechos, ahora luchan por preservar los que tienen&rdquo;, declar&oacute;.</p>\r\n<p>Mientras los islamistas moderados ceden, los m&aacute;s radicales (salafistas) recibieron este mi&eacute;rcoles un mazazo simb&oacute;lico.
