Un\nespacio donde se origina y actualiza la colectiva de una sociedad. El franquismo, al imponer su discurso oficial sobre la identidad\nde España, lejos de resolver los grandes problemas de la sociedad española, no hizo sino silenciarlos, aplazarlos. A la salida del\nfranquismo, muerto el dictador, los problemas irrumpieron con fuerza en la arena pública reclamando por una pronta solución. La\nposible vía hacia la democracia en España estaba asociada de una forma indisoluble a la resolución del problema de los\nnacionalismos periféricos. Sin embargo, el intento de resolver el problema vasco hizo estallar la cuestión navarra. Las polémicas de\nla identidad, que habían estallado en torno al establecimiento del régimen preautonómico del País Vasco, irrumpieron con fuerza\nen el debate constitucional. Ekl proceso constituyente fue un espacio privilegiado para la puesta en escena de las distintas\nestrategias constitucionales de diferenciación que respondían a la voluntad de reconocimiento de la especificidad de vascos y\nnavarros respecto al resto y de vascos y navarros entre sí. En el marco de estas polémicas, Navarra ideó y llevó a la práctica su\npropia vía de acceso a la autonomía, su vía a la democracia, que concluyó con la aprobación de la LORAFNA (Ley Orgánica de\nReintegración y Amejoramiento del Régimen Foral de Navarra) en agosto de 1982.
