El Lobo consigui&oacute; frustrar no s&oacute;lo el primer plan de fuga masiva de presos etarras de la c&aacute;rcel de Segovia, sino tambien una sangrienta campa&ntilde;a de atentados indiscriminados, con los que ETA pretend&iacute;a demostrar su fuerza en la ag&oacute;nica coyuntura del r&eacute;gimen y, adem&aacute;s, provocar al Ej&eacute;rcito para asegurarse la supervivencia por medio de una estrategia de Acci&oacute;n-Represi&oacute;n-Acci&oacute;n. La \"Operaci&oacute;n Lobo\" constituy&oacute; el mayor &eacute;xito policial contra ETA. Cuando ETA lo descubri&oacute;, lo conden&oacute; a muerte y empapel&oacute; las Vascongadas de carteles con su fotograf&iacute;a bajo la leyenda \"Se busca\". \"El Lobo\" tuvo entonces que cambiar de identidad y de rostro y desaparecer sin dejar rastro. Su historia es la de un hombre utilizado y destrozado por los servicios secretos de la dictadura que intentaron eliminarlo en mitad de la operaci&oacute;n, a pesar de lo cual logr&oacute; salvarse por sus propios medios y continuar con su misi&oacute;n.
